5th March, 2009 - The Gingerbread Man was Bob's favourite bedtime story a few years' back. He would go "Mommy, can you read me the gingerbread man story, please???". It was one of our favourite 'quality time', just Bob and mommy :-)
Today, I had the opportunity to re-tell this story to the primary 3 and 5 students !!! A tutor called in sick today and due to the last minute notice, once again, I walked into the classes unprepared, not exactly sure what to teach, so I chose a fun story-telling time instead.
It was fun teaching English in such a relaxed mood where students got creative and twisted the story a little. They were made to write the story down as I tell them the story, as in dictation.
Well, I myself learned quite a bit, patience for one ! It was no easy task getting the kids to quiet down and listen to me. Ha ha ... ok lah, I managed to get them to do what I set out for them ^_^
