30th March, 2009 - Today was a very productive (albeit hectic) day at work, I would say. Somehow I managed to finish off 3 submissions, raised a few bills, collected two cheques and managed to banked-in through the cheque deposit machines before attending a meeting with another client, handled some issues at school and stopped by the pet shop for a 15kg of dog food for Nikki. Phew!!! Got home, fed the koi, pamper Nikki and watched the kids play badminton before dinner. Then, caught up with the kids and did 30 skips on the jumping rope before finally settling down with reading a Enid Blyton story with the kids.
It's just one of those March year end deadline rush and sometimes this would cause some kind of an adrenalin rush through my whole being. Just the feeling of triumphing over these tight schedules had me wonder at myself ... No wonder some people would refer to me as a Superwoman ^_^
A close friend cum client commented upon my submission of financial input for a very important global fund thingy : You know, Odelia, yesterday after talking to you over the phone, I was very worried over whether you will be able to submit the information needed on time today. Thank you so much for this in spite of everything happening to you....You are the best!
Before calling it a day, I also managed to vet through the many mails that came flocking into my inbox, replied some mails and ended the day with a lively online chat with a special friend. Only when I hit the bed did I realise I was actually (happily) exhausted !!!
