1. Today I got my paycheck and managed to bank it in during lunch time. Was happy to receive a smaller paycheck in exchange for 2 shorter hours at work each day so as to enable myself to fetch the kids from school at 3.45pm, enjoys the no-traffic-jam drive and reaches home about 4.30pm. That translates into more relaxing time at home with the kids and more time for myself too.
2. I finally handed in the other 2 outstanding files to the manager for her review and felt glad that I am able to attend tomorrow's seminar without the hassle of going back to the office to finish off the work.
3. I received another call from someone who is interested to look at my Sentul flat and managed to arrange for a viewing tomorrow evening.
One good thing I learnt at The Millionaire Mind seminar in November 2007 is this : Positive affirmation on my daily successes no matter how small, brings aspiration and motivation, so here's mine...... happy reading! My sincere wish for every one of my readers, including myself of course, is that my personal success journals will in some way entertain, inspire and make a little difference..... oh, by the way, comments are most welcomed ^_^

My Success Journal - 30 Mar 2008
1. It's Sunday! Woke up early to make sure the kids get to Buddhist class in time. The kids enjoyed their buddhist lessons while I managed to get some marketing done. Bought vegetables at the wet market near the temple where the kids had their lessons.
2. Managed to finish the audit on the kids' school 80th Anniversary celebration and text some queries to the chairman. Felt kind of good that I am able to render my services for the school community.
3. Sent the kids to visit their grandma who is still in the hospital after her knee operation. Called her and found that she is feeling much better already. Prayed for her speedy recovery.

My Success Journal - 29 Mar 2008
1. Sent the kids to school early in the morning as they were having their replacement class. Managed to pay a visit to the kids' grandma at the hospital. She's in discomfort and couldn't really sleep well last night. Good thing that her doctor son is with her and knows how to make her comfortable. When I left, she was sleeping soundly. In fact, she snored! Good for her.
My Success Journal - 28 Mar 2008
1. Today I had to rush out a report for the client who wanted it urgently. As usual, I managed to do it before leaving the office to fetch the kids.
2. Shopped at Carrefour on a last minute urge to have BBQ. Bought chicken wings, sausages, lamb shoulders, prawns, squids, vege salad, ice-creams and some other daily groceries. Had an enjoyable evening together with the kids and a few invited guests. Also gave away some guppy fishes and plants to Clare who seemed happy. Later, she called and mentioned that her kids were very excited about the fishes. Felt good. Dennis mentioned about meeting Lisa on my recommendation for a minor renovation work and apparently Lisa kept saying many good things about me. Well, it's really heart warming to hear compliments ... any time. Pauline also thanked me for the lovely evening and I guess my invitation did do some good to her soul.
3. Had a good time with the kids too. The boys played chess with the free chess set I got when I signed up for the Alliance credit card at Carrefour whereas the girls had fun catching the guppy fishes from the pond for Clare.
4. Also chatted with Ping2. Felt good that she thought of me while she's stuck in traffic jam like I used to call her whenever I got caught in the jam! Also called the kids' grandma who just got out of her knee operation. Hopefully she will recover very soon and be on her feet again.

1. The CCTV guys came over to reset my cctv program and now it's in order.
2. At last I found out what went wrong with my water fountain! It's as simple as removing the stones that got stuck in the pool! Poor kakak has to take a dip in the pool to remove the stones ...
hopefully, my koi fishes do not feel threatened!
3. I was in a good appetite mood and took an early dinner.
4. Watched Cameron Diaz on E! Could learn to smile like her, very genuine, very sweet and contagious too.....

My Success Journal - 25 Mar 2008
1. This morning, I was rather productive in office, manage to draft and send 1 account for typing.
2. I got the fish shop's handsome one to come over to my house for a visit to check out the health status of my koi fishes. The water condition is neutral (not acidic nor alkaline) after testing and is suitable for the fishes. Just needed to put in 10ml of treatment liquid every other day for a week or two. Apparently, the most valuable koi is the 'tea' colour one which is known as the leader of koi where it is the one who will lead the rest of the koi fishes e.g. during meal time, it is the one who is always the first one to feast, then followed by the rest, which I realise is quite true. Whereas for the 'one red spot' koi, it is the 2nd valuable one because of the red spot that resemble the Japanese flag! Hmmm.... I learnt something new today.
3. Today, we brought our home-cooked dinner to the Commonwealth Hill for a picnic and thoroughly enjoyed our meal with some side dishes (tomyam soup). After dinner, we went walking up the hill where the children played some catching game while I picked some bunga cempaka for home decoration. The children had such a great time that they are asking me to bring them to the hill everyday!
4. My koi pond is 'bearing' more baby guppy fishes! Felt excited about the prospect of selling them for extra money to buy fish food and treatment liquid. Looks like I might pick up this hobby and at the same time make some money too!
5. I also kept in touch with some of my friends by calling them on the phone. Jess is resting at home, recovering after her operation; Pauline who has not been feeling well due to stress is also resting at home; Clare who is supposed to pick up the booklet on real estate agent test from me wants to get 2 guppy fishes for her empty aquarium after hearing my guppy-selling story; mother-in-law is due for her knee operation on friday.
6. I sent off an email re NCTSB form E samples to my ex for his reference as I am no longer available to take up the responsibility from this year onwards.

My Success Journal - 24 Mar 2008
1. Today, I was able to hand in two accounts to the tax department for a draft tax computation.
2. The kids and I went to Commonwealth Hill for an evening walk all the way from our house. The weather was beautiful and all of us got to experience the evening breeze as well as a few rounds on the outdoor sports equipment. We also hand picked a variety of flowers, white, yellow, pink, orange and purple in colour. They were made into beautiful decorations at home in 2 separate crystal bowls filled with fresh water. A good exercise.
3. We also had our dinner at the Commonwealth Lake, for the first time since we moved into our new house in November 2007. We tried the tomyam, french fries, fried mee hoon with fried egg, milo ice and 100+. It costs RM27-60. Jenny contributed RM5.
4. Many more baby guppy fishes were seen in the pond today. Give them another month, I think we can sell another 200 for RM40 more !!!! A lucrative hobby and a good past time for the kids and me indeed.

My Success Journal - 23 Mar 2008
1. This morning, we woke up early and went marketing at the OUG wet market. Bought vegetables, chicken and some other groceries. Also had breakfast together. This time, the 2 boys did not quarrel over food/toys and managed to gobble up all their food in a jiffy. Next, we bought a packet of 5kg fish food for the koi fishes at RM38. I also managed to bargain for the shop to buy our guppy fishes at 20 sen instead of the initial 15 sen per fish offered.
2. We had our very first visit to the hill near our house for a brisk walk and discovered there were many 'bunga cempaka' lying around. We picked the fresher ones and put them into our caps and took home 3 caps full of white, pink and red ones. I then arranged them into two crystal bowls filled with water. They emit such fresh smells and was quite pleasant-looking for a change. It was overall quite a nice and peaceful experience. Together with the boys, we were able to spend some time out in the sun. The natural environment provided some fresh air which was quite refreshing. I also got to exercise my leg muscles for a start. Good for my soul too.
3. In the afternoon, I sent Bob to his swimming class. Bob has started his skin dive and the instructor commented that he was quite good. Whereas for Dash, well he had a few badminton sessions with me, kakak and my sister-in-law. Dash with his big toothy grins was a heart-warming and entertaining badminton player.
4 We had great fun catching and counting the number of guppy fishes for sale. The maid catch them with the big net, Dash and Joey count them from the bigger pail before putting them into a smaller transparent plastic container. We managed to catch 190 of the male species (they are more beautiful than the female ones which are less in demand and does not fetch a good price) and happily, we got into the car where Dash hugged the plastic container with the precious little fishes and arrived at the fish shop in good time as the shop was preparing to close for the day. The shop owner was generous enough to give the boys RM2 extra ... at least that covers petrol cost! So, happily, we pocketed RM40! Not bad for our first sale, hopefully there will be many more sales to come. The shop owner was happy also as our fishes were very beautiful ones compared to those they have and they were selling them for RM1 each! Hmmm.... maybe I should start looking at selling to other shops if they can offer a higher price. Glad that we have reserved all the female guppies to ourselves for reproduction! Saw many pregnant ones already. Hope they will re-produce fast enough for us to sell ......
5. My in-laws came over for dinner and I had a good chat with my mother-in-law who is about to decide on her knee operation, pending his son's advice to go ahead. Hope she will recover well and soon! Somehow, reminds me to start exercising and take good care of myself as now I have only the kids to keep me company. Should I fall sick, who will take care of the kids? So, I made myself a promise to start exercising to keep fit and healthy.
In conclusion, today was one of the most enjoyable Sunday I have had in many months! The start of many more good weekends to come!

1. I had lunch together with my parent-in-laws, brother-in-law who just got back from London, my ex and the boys at Seri Petaling. The boys enjoyed a short visit to the pet shop next door and watched a nice little puppy having it's bath.
2. The boys and I went to visit my colleague at Tawakal Hospital who had an operation for appendics. Joked with the boys that my colleague was naughty because she jumped immediately after having her meals and so caused her appendics to suffer and now have to be operated on. Well, did the 2 boys buy our story? Don't know for sure but sure hope that story will remind them not to jump about after meals!

1. Today, I managed to come up with the extended trial balance for a client and hope to finish the draft by next week.
2. I went to Pavillion for the first time for a 9:40pm movie together with my sister's friend and my colleagues. It was real comfy, nice seats with large leg room, the popcorn was good, the air-cond was reasonable 'not too cold'. It was a comedy, "Ah Long Pte Ltd", very entertaining, very hilarious and we really had many good laughs.
3. I brought a few of my 'evening gowns' fto my 3rd sis' house for her to choose, in preparation for her Sunday dinner.

2. The boys went out with their daddy to get a Bahasa Melayu - Mandarin - English dictionary and had fun at an Art Attack session while I get some rest at home.

1. Today, I showed my Sentul house to a couple about to get married. They were impressed with the house but did not have the means to pay for the deposit. As I was looking at the now empty house, I felt as though I do miss staying in it.... and actually visualised how a good and simple paint job would make the house irresistible....
2. I went for a dinner at my sons' school, a farewell dinner for the ex-headmistress. Jenny who was supposed to go with me said she is sleepy and did not want to go. So, I had to try and find a replacement on the last minute. My colleague, my neighbour, my ex-neighbour, my sister's friend. They were all not available, some of them already had prior appointments and some did not answer the phone in time. At last, I caught hold of my ex and he was the one who ended up joining me for the dinner but we did not sit at the same table! At least I did not let the dinner ticket go to waste...

1. It's another Sunday! I attended a family meeting re the fish store business and was able to understand/clarify the details with some explanations given. Looks like things are getting better for the family.
2. Sent Bob and Joey to swimming class. The rest of the children took turns at playing badminton in the court near the swimming pool. They sure had fun.
3. I decided to grief no more as I sent an sms to my ex informing him that I am shutting him out of my life for good now. I cried out loud after I text him and just let my anger and sadness fill me up, hopefully once and for all, with tears streaming down my face non-stop, wetting my pillow as I struggle to shut his image out of my mind. I managed to climb back into bed after many rounds of solitaire. Just didn't realise how tough it is to be strong until the truth finally sinked into my sub-conscious. It's been a battle where I was emotionally stabbed and wounded badly time and again that I told myself it's time I put a stop to getting hurt by him again before I reach a non-reversible all time high miserable state-of-mind! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Emm... maybe I'll get a pet to lick the wounds ... There is no turning back now. Good luck dude. You can do it! YESSSSSS I can do it!

1. Today I put on my leather pants and found that I could still fit in after so many years despite the few kgs that I have put on!
2. After work, my colleagues and I went to Time Square for a karaoke session. The buffet dinner was quite good : sushi, spaghetti, salad, oyster, prawns, scallops, chicken, duck, herbal chicken soup, ice cream, jelly, fruits, cakes, etc. My colleagues sang many chinese pop songs, many of which I have not heard before .... really out-of-date! Rather crazy bunch of friends I have, singing, jumping, clapping and not to mention shouting at the top of their voices. Got influenced by their excitement and ended up joining them in their craziness. Really a lot of fun. A good way to destress!

My Success Journal - 12 Mar 2008
1. My colleagues requested for a short briefing with them after work to clarify some issues on their work in which the principal has raised from time to time. I managed to catch their attention, gave them my views, suggestions and some useful pointers. The session was lively and I was able to address their issues with some example of likely situations and how to deal with clients effectively.
2. Dash called up and said "Mommy, we are having BBQ tonight. Can I invite our neighbours, please?".... to which I replied "What BBQ?" and the answer I got was "Ya lah, we are having BBQ mah you don't know meh?" and I went "Oh ok, so what are we having for BBQ?". "Em.... hot dog." "Can you buy some fish ball and chicken?" Ha ha ha.... this is just one of those great moments that my kids would bring to me .... sometimes they just caught me offguard .... so out of the blue! Well, we did enjoy our simple BBQ alright.
3. I also trimmed my nails and put on some new nail stickers (this time it's tiny flowers with little butterflies :-) before crawling into bed. Ahhhhhhhh ..... sweet dreams, slept well .... with my boys by my side.

My Success Journal - 11 Mar 2008
1. Today, I woke up and was greeted by my two boys' big warm smiles when they also woke up at around the same time after the night's tossing in bed together. It's amazing how the three of us can still sleep on the same bed with Dash who is always turning 360 degrees in his sleep! In fact, Bob fell off the bed with a 'thump' and I jumped out of bed to 'scoop' him up, almost alarmed but he seemed just fine, even managed to flash a sweet smile with his eyes still shut, no indication of pain from the fall! Must be having a sweet dream ....... perhaps of characters from his favourite online computer game ......
2. It was my colleague's turn to fetch me to office as we continue on our second day of car-pooling. The traffic was real smooth and we arrived at the office in less than 15 minutes!
3. I bought more groceries : red bean, sago, barley, rock sugar and jelly powder on my way back from lunch.... to keep stock just in case the city goes into curfew mode in the light of Barisan Nasional's recent loss of seats in the general election ........ nah........ unlikely.
4. I had steamboat for dinner together with my colleague and bought more vegetables at the Pasar Malam.

1. Today, I car-pooled with my colleague and got a yummy free tuna sandwich from her for breakfast. It has been such a long time since I last tasted tuna sandwich ...... nice. Missed my mom's tuna sandwich with added cili padi + onion ....
2. Yippee! I can afford to wake up at 7a.m. instead of the usual 6a.m. because the kids are having their school holiday!
3. I left the office at 5.30p.m. sharp and managed to have dinner with the boys. Also watched the boys play some computer games though I cannot understand (rather, I was not truly interested in) the game. Played some simple solitaire though.
4. I managed to catch 2 hours of House on channel 701 AXN and enjoyed the shows. It's amazing how Dr House can diagnose rare diseases so well and accurately at the end of every episode. Despite his annoying words, he is simply amazing.

1. This morning, my ex came to deliver the groceries I asked him to get from the supermarket as I was a bit worried over Barisan Nasional's unexpected loss in many seats and failed to secure a two-third majority in the election. It was a relief when no significant riot or chaos were reported despite some rumours earlier on.
2. Today, I really had a lot of rest and felt better after taking some flu medicine that my ex got for me. Relaxed and watched some drama series on TV together with my niece before dozing off again.
3. Dash and Bob listened to my advice and stopped playing computer games before 9pm and Dash read a few more pages of Enid Blyton's storybook - The Enchanted Shoes before I dozed off.

1. Today, I woke up early to cast my vote and managed to get to the voting station after going through smooth traffic. The weather was good and the crowd was not too congested, in fact, it was a breeze as it took less than 30 minutes. The candidate I voted for won!
2. I was down with flu and managed to catch some much needed sleep after popping 2 panadols. The kids knew I was feeling sickly and behaved themselves without causing to much noise so as not to disturb me. Dash even offered me a cup of plain water and said "Mommy, you must drink a lot of water". That's nice.
3. Second sis sent her 2 kids to my house and I had a short chat with her. She went home with a plastic bag full of guppy fishes from my fish pond as I had too many of them. Hope the guppies will survive in her garden pond!

1. After lunch today, I bought fresh flowers for tomorrow's offering to Buddha, thus saving me some time as I do not have to wake up early tomorrow to go to the wet market to buy them. Ah... precious sleeping hours!!
2. Together with the children, we had fun chilling out at our backyard, enjoying tit-bits and the cool breeze after dinner.
3. A friend called up and thank me for listening to her 'whining' as she goes through some rough patches in her life.

1. I had a short discussion with my boss re my request to shorten my working hours beginning 17 March as I have to start fetching my kids from school. He was very understanding and grants me my request as a short term measure until I am able to find an alternative to my kids' transportation arrangement. I am grateful for his understanding.
2. The kids and I had dinner at Sri Petaling's pasar malam for the first time.
3. We accompanied Dewi to see a doctor at Sri Petaling for her cough, flu, fever and sore throat. The doctor mentioned that it is just a mild case of flu and Dewi should be fine after a few days of medication. I advised her to take the flu medicine which will make her feel drowsy when the kids are at school so that she can have a restful sleep and heal faster.
4. I bought 2 new blouses at Nichii's moving out sale at the Sungai Besi outlet for less than RM70.

1. I managed to wake up in time to send the kids to my ex's place before heading to SJK (C) Sentul for the 35th PIBG AGM. I was again nominated for the post of Auditor and won with contest. I also had a chat with Dash's class teacher and found out about his performance in class.
2. I went to the Buddhist temple in Jalan Raja Bot in time to have lunch with the kids who were there for their Children's Buddhist Class and managed to get Bob and Joey registered for the class after arranging for a permanent reschedule of their swimming class. The kids enjoyed the Buddhist class and seem to look forward to the weekly 2 hour sessions.
3. I managed to catch a short nap to make up for lost sleep after coming back from Bob's swimming class and retired early to bed at about 9 p.m.

1. I had steamboat lunch at my colleague's apartment at Desa View Towers as a housewarming party together with other colleagues. I wore the esprit white jumper and tied my hair into a ponytail which got my friends saying that I looked much younger and trendy! Overall, it was a comfortable gathering and friendly jokes were thrown, making the best of the situation despite some setback with the new steamboat appliance which just simply would not start/function properly.
2. I could remember exactly how to get to my colleague's place at Desa View Towers just from the one visit I took many years back when I was looking for a place to buy and settle down.
