Fun for RM2.25

18th October, 2008 - I was at the Mines in the evening. Of late, it's been rather nice to hang around this old shopping mall ... near to my house. A close friend re-introduced me to this place which I thought was quite dead ! On both occasions, I was there on her recommendation for facial sessions at Herbal Line. It's the lemon grass ambience there that really made me feel so refreshed every time, not to mention the free fish spa treatment we get to do after our facials, just dipping our feet into the small pool, letting the chin chin or garra ruffas nibble away on our dead skin cells while enjoying some light moments, chatting away like we used to do.

It has been 32 years that we know each other as friends, ever since standard one! It's hard to come by, really, to be able to survive 32 years of togetherness, going through the thicks and thins of life during our childhood, teenagehood, womanhood years ... A real blessing I would say :-) Sometimes, its amazing that we can be closer than our very own siblings, sharing details of our life that not even our parents or other family members know ^_^

Anyway, back to the Mines ... this evening, together with another friend, we discovered the beautiful koi fishes in the mall along the man-made river where boat-rides are available. We were there at Uncle John's kopitiam, having our tea-break while waiting to go for a movie next. At first, my friend tore a little bit of my ice-cream cone (minus the yoghurt ice-cream of course) and throw it into the river just to see what's in there ... and my ... beautiful fishes started gathering and nibbling away at my ice-cream cone. That's when my friend decided to have a feeding spree, went over to seven eleven and bought a loaf of gardenia bread!

For the next 1 hour, we had fun feeding the koi fishes and pak sou kongs! That's even more fun than window shopping or watching a movie ^_^ and all just for RM2.25 ... ha ha ha ... felt like a small kid again. A look at my friend, perhaps even more so than me !
